Schedulling

To manage the time and scheduling of the festival, the films are to be sent to the judge ahead of time

Workshop:

2 hours per session hybrid twice per week for beginners

Preliminary rounds:

All movies are to be sent to the festival for rules-related previews. If qualified, they will be screened over the weekend with judges and audience voting.

The final:

All trailers will be played during a Gala gathering and the winners will be announced The movies should be sent 1 month before the first round.

The newcomers Beginners can participate in the “Filmmaking 101” workshop which will prepare them to produce and direct a movie from scratch. The fee is 1,500/- AED per person. The workshop consists of the following:

  • Scriptwriting

II. Technical rundowns:

  • Template

  • Storyboard

  • Errors and Axis handling

  • Turning a scene into a technical rundown

  • Turning a rundown into a scene

A technical sheet should be presented as an entrance application to the festival by the veteran directors The technical sheet will provide the festival committee with the below:

Trailer (1080i – 50fps – mp4/mov)

Scriptwriter (script language)

Equipment list used

Poster (high res –softcopy)
